WHO CAN COUNT THE RAIN?

WHO CAN COUNT THE RAIN DROPS?

Often times, we feel and think we know everything by the way we carry on and on with our lives, especially with the decisions we make and the actions we take along the path of life. We say, “It’s my life I know what am doing”. But Do You Really Know What You Are Doing?  The Wind blows where it will, we do not know where it is going, nor where it has been. Also, the Sun comes and goes as programmed, no one knows where its resting place is. Do We Really Know Anything?  Wisdom comes from the Lord and endures with Him forever.

How many times do we pause and think of who we really are and why we exist? How we exist and for what? It will help if we do pause, think and reason about our existence. The Mystery of life is beyond our minds’ stretch; Only God knows; do not try to understand things or investigate things that are beyond your power to know, like how God the creator runs the world. Our being alive in this time and in the space where we are, is by God’s design. God created, controls and maintains all things seen and unseen for our happiness and to His glory.

As little as the rain drops, God created it, programmed and scheduled it, to gather and fall on far and near places; even on remote areas with or without the presence of man. How awesome is that! Rain falls from time to time as scheduled, to refresh the earth, sometimes with heavy rain drops, other times as shower drops. Come to think of it; WHO CAN COUNT THE RAIN DROPS?

Yes, the rain drops! who can count them? Can you?  Yet you worry about things you know nothing about nor can control. One alone is wise and greatly to be revered (Sirach 1). Only our heavenly Father, God Almighty who made the Rain and permits it to drop in due time can count the rain drops. So do not fret, be wise and surrender yourself and all aspirations to the planner, the maker and the owner of all things seen and unseen.  Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? (Matthew 6:26-27) Or stop the night to come even when you stay awake. No matter what we do, Tomorrow always comes as programmed by God.

Do not worry therefore about things you cannot control, instead focus on doing right things where ever you are, at work, school, home or in transit, to care for yourself and your fellow man; for your heavenly father knows that you are here on earth where He has placed you for a purpose. He knows also your needs and will always provide according to His riches in Heaven. But you must do your part; first seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness and the things you desire shall be given to you. (Matthew 6:33)

Encouraging words! I hear you say. It is true that everyday living has overwhelming troubles and stress; and it often makes us forget to hold onto these words of faith. Even so, whatever the presentation of challenges today or tomorrow, it does not change the fact that; worry can not improve or take the troubles away. In all situations, we need to exercise practical faith, that is, faith and work. Joseph, the slave boy became governor of Egypt as God was with Him and blessed his work in the midst of trials and imprisonment. Because Joseph revered God and had good character. There must be something from us on which God’s grace and blessings will lay on. We have to choose where God comes in as it concerns us. That is why we have the Free will. Only by taking right steps through the help of Christ can we overcome the challenges of each day as it is presented. Therefore, entrust all you do to the Lord and your plans will be realized. For the Lord made everything for a purpose (Proverbs 16:3-4). Even though plans abound in the human heart, only the Lord’s purpose will be realized.

God is all knowing; he wants us to do our own part as He awaits to bless the work of our hands. Know that the lazy hand brings poverty, but the diligent hand brings wealth while the prudent man reaps in due season.  It is said that ‘’he who cultivates his land will have his fill of bread; but he who chases after illusions will not’’ (Proverbs 12:11) Remember too that the idler will go hungry (Proverbs 19:15), but the Lord does not let the upright man go hungry.

So do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving present your requests to God and the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7)

DO RIGHT TODAY, TOMORROW WILL WORRY ABOUT ITS OWN THING.
