WE ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD, LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE FORTH
We are God’s Representatives to the World
A reflection/mirror of God’s nature in us must show forth the fruit of the Holy Spirit; Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23)
It’s essential for us to realize the kind of power and authority we wield in the spiritual realm as God’s own! Almighty God created Us (Man) in His own image and Likeness; in us is His divine nature, which comes with so much power and authority. As children and creatures of the Almighty God our Father; we have so much power within us, which we ought to use faithfully for the good of ourselves and others. Let us allow the power and the authority of the Spirit to flow in us through prayer and holiness of life as we live our lives pleasing God with a heart full of Love for God and Man.
We should tell of God’s Goodness and love through our Lord Jesus Christ and shine forth our light through our lifestyle; mirroring God’s good nature and character in upholding God’s Truth and righteousness; as we were created to be.
The time to let your light shine forth is now; now that there is so much to fight for both in the spiritual realm and the physical, when so many people are filled with disbelief and distrust for God, because of the heavy storms, challenges and disappointments that have befallen them. Now when immorality has become the norm and religious men and women that are looked upon, have abandoned the ways of the Almighty Creator and the sheep of His flock; to follow their unrighteous ways because of greed and selfishness, misleading others with little or no knowledge of the Word of God on the purpose of human life.
God wants you to remember His love for you and that you have His goodness in you. As such He wants you to stand firm and reflect His goodness in the way you live each day and how you relate with other humans; to encourage them live right as well.
We must be the Light of the World and shine our light in dark places by courageously using the inherent power and authority in us as believers and children of Almighty God, to take over and spiritualize the atmosphere wherever we find ourselves; exhibiting the good nature and character of our Father the creator of everything seen and unseen. Being spiritually minded is about doing away with lies, sexual vices, impurity, sensuality, worship of false gods, sorcery, antagonism, rivalry, jealousy, bad temper, quarrels, disagreements, falsehood against others, factions, malice, hatred, unforgiveness, drunkenness, orgies, etc. (Galatians 5: 19 – 21). Spirituality is about maintaining a perfect balance between prayer and action of good conduct, reflecting God’s Spirit in us.
Remember we have God’s nature and likeness in us. We ought to represent God and introduce Him to others through our love, actions, words and lifestyle. The fruit we bear should reflect or mirror the nature of our Father, the Creator of heaven and Earth. ‘For by their fruit ye shall know them (Matthew 7:20)
So, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your father in Heaven.” (Matthew 5:16)
