GOD KNOWS YOU…
YES, You.
Of course, Almighty God who created all things above in Heaven and on Earth knows you. He created all beings, this includes you. Your existence and being is made possible by God the Creator.
The Creator who formed you, for Himself as He pleases, should know you and everything about you. He planned and designed everything concerning you from your beginning to the end, even before you were formed. And everything about you is GOOD.
Though sometimes when the World around you seems filled with challenges, disappointments, failures and painful events that make you lose yourself in tears; you wonder if indeed the Almighty God who created all things truly KNOWS YOU…and you question why He allows unpleasant events to happen to you and those around you. The saying that “God sees everything, knows everything, owns everything and can do all things” becomes difficult to comprehend. But take the case of Oghenewede:
……It was the first day of the week. The early hours looked promising when suddenly everything changed, and the clouds darkened. Oghenewede, in an already challenged state of not having a job after graduation for more than 36 months and forced to live in a very small apartment with nothing to feed on most times, wondered how another day will end. She shivered seeing the dark clouds. In no time the clouds opened and down came heavy rain, and before Wede could think through her present state, the windy storm ripped open a portion of the roof of the room, and soon the flooded rainwater outside the room seemed to have replicated itself inside the room.
She screamed out of frustration as she tried to save her little belongings from being soaked by the rainwater in the room. murmuring under her breath, asking God why He has allowed her to suffer so much pain and neglect, she screamed for help as the water level rose almost to her knees. In her panic and frustration her cries and screams echoed so loudly that passer-bys heard her, but they walked past unconcerned.
Meanwhile a young lady Rukevwe on her way to the grocery shop close by Wede’s house, stopped when she heard the loud cry and scream for help, she went into the one room apartment to assist and found a tear filled Wede in the flooded room as the rain continued to drop heavily from the open roof. The first instinct was to continue to bail the water out, but soon Rukevwe realized that their efforts were not yielding any result. She then stopped, and after a phone call from her cell phone she asked Oghenewede to leave the room and follow her out of the room. With little hesitation, feeling so tired and drenched in the rain, Wede agreed and they both stepped out of the room onto the street. Rukevwe got a Taxi and the Taxi drove off.
Oghenewede was too tired to even ask where they were going, she was just thankful that Rukevwe was by her side helping her out. Lost in thought of how Life had been unfair to her with so much struggle and pain after the tragic loss of her parents while still a child. She got startled when the taxi came to a halt in front of a very beautiful and spacious mansion, her eyes opened wide in amazement and disbelief, as Rukevwe asked her to step out of the taxi. She did and asked in wonder “Where are we”? to that Rukevwe replied, “My family home, please come in and meet my parents.” Still shocked and surprised, Oghenewede followed Rukevwe into the spacious yard and into the big Mansion.
Inside the house Rukevwe’ s Mother warmly welcomed Oghenewede and asked Rukevwe to help her change her wet clothes. Afterwards Wede was given hot tea and food. Still amazed, she ate silently, as everything seem like a dream. After breakfast, Rukevwe’ s parents had a conversation with Wede about her state and deplorable condition, being alone and helpless, without work for a long time.
They decided to help her by settling her in another home and giving her a job in their factory. Oghenewede could not believe the turn of events. The years of struggles, disappointment and pain and the climax of being drenched in the early morning rain, being overwhelmed with the challenges of life. And now in one afternoon being filled with purpose and hope. She pinched herself to be sure it was not a dream and that she was awake. She unconsciously started weeping, thanking God Almighty for the turn of events, for the heavy rainfall, and the flooded damaged house that drew Rukevwe to her. Indeed, God the Creator has being with her all this time, through all her struggles, challenges and pain. Truly “God owns the day”, the meaning of her name “Oghenewede”. He has everything planned out for her; God knows what He is doing. For this she is so, so thankful.
She thanked Rukevwe and her parents and saw them as the Angels on earth for her. Oghenewede, suddenly understood the saying that God sees everything, knows everything, owns everything and can do everything as it pleases Him for His glory. Very importantly, is That God Knows her and all that ever happens to her.
Whatever your state or condition at present, like Wede’s case, God knows, because He Created you and the path of your life’s journey is known only to Him. So, TRUST HIM while you do your best in walking in the right path set out by Him, by having a loving relationship with Him, yourself and other human beings.
Remember, especially in difficulty, that God knows everything, and He knows YOU…
